Kamakhya Temple Tour
The Kamakhya Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya. It is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pitha & situated on the Nilachal Hill in western part of Guwahati city in Assam, India.The temple consists of four chambers: Garbhagriha and three mandapas locally called Calanta, Pancharatna and Natamandira aligned from east to west. Being the centre for Tantra worship this temple attracts thousands of tantra devotees in an annual festival known as the Ambubachi Mela. Another annual celebration is the Manasha Puja. Durga Puja is also celebrated annually at Kamakhya during Navaratri in the autumn.
DAY 1. ARRIVAL AT GUWAHATI
Arrival at Guwahati; drop to your pre-booked hotel.

DAY 2 GUWAHATI
Early morning visit Kamakhya Temple (Timing 08:00 A.M till 01:00 P.M & 3:00 P.M till its gets dark), Umananda Temple, Nabagraha Temple,Bagala Temple and Bhuneswari temple, Bhimasankar Jyortingling, Ugratara Temple, Sukleswar Temple, Balaji Temple, Basistha temple and Emporium.
Return for overnight stay.
Day 3. DEPARTURE FROM GUWAHATI – ARRIVAL AT KOLKATA
Drop by taxi to Tarapith Road to pre-booked hotel.

Day 4 TARAPITH
Visit Tarapith temple along with Bakreswar Temple and Nalhateshwari Temple., Bamakhepa Temple and Bamdev Shangha Ashram. Don’t miss the Mallarpur Shiv Temple, which dates back to 1192, and Birchandrapur Temple.
Day 5 TARAPITH
Visit the Tarapith Cremation ground and witness the Tantrik rituals. Spend time later in evening in evening buying souvenirs etc. Drop back to Kolkata or nearest railway station as per booking
DAY 6. ARRIVAL AT SAHARSA
Pickup from Railway station and drop to pre-booked hotel at Saharasa
DAY 7. MAHISHI VISIT
Visit the temple. Participate in the rituals. Visit home of Mandan Mishra and meet the high priest of the temple. Meditate at the temple.
